TEXT MESSAGING MAKES
A BIG DIFFERENCE AT MUSIC SERVICES

Text messaging is saving our customers time and money, and is improving communications between administrative staff and their peripatetic teaching colleagues.

‘Introducing the text message facility of EnsembleXP.Net has proved very successful in North Somerset. We can now get messages to teachers without interrupting their teaching, and of course alert pupils to changes in rehearsal schedules. However, the biggest benefit has been a saving of administration time.’

‘For example, we recently needed to get an answer to a simple question from all staff in a short period of time; we texted the question and had responses coming back by phone in less than 2 minutes! Previously this would have tied one of our administrators up for hours, trying to phone all of the teachers. Well worth the investment!’

Mark Trego, Head of North Somerset Music Service

‘We have found the text messaging option of Ensemble to be particularly useful in contacting our staff with messages relating to their teaching. Schools often have no direct contact details for our staff and so contact us to forward messages. School music departments are notoriously difficult to access by phone, they either have no extension or there is so much noise going on that no-one hears it ring. Having the ability to text means our staff get messages quickly so that, for example, they don’t turn up to a school to find it closed for a CPD day or because the boilers have failed and the children have been sent home.’
