SOFTWARE SUPPORTA support contract comes into play when you first buy Ensemble, which guarantees HotFixes and Service Packs. Service Packs contain software upgrades and common additional functionality. The support contract must be renewed annually.
Software assistance is charged in units of time, so you only pay for the time you use. Time must be bought upfront in units of a day or more; there is a tool within Ensemble with which you can manage your time and track support issues.
Customers use their prepaid time for software assistance, report writing services, bespoke development and on-site training/consultancy, although you will need to pay expenses for on-site services.
Assistance time has no shelf life, and remains against an account until it is used up.
