How many people can use Academy in my organisation?
The number of users depends on the number of licences you buy; you need one licence for each computer. If you have Academy installed on 3 computers, then 3 people can use it at the same time.

Can I generate a report to show whose fees are due each week?
Academy automatically produces fees/invoices as and when they are due, and depending on the pupil's profile (or parent's profile), these are either printed or emailed. You can produce reports of monies owed as often as you like.

How far in advance can I schedule a recurring individual lesson?
As far in advance as you want to go. Set up calendars to define term dates/teaching periods, and schedule according to these.

Can Academy manage payroll for teachers?
Yes. This calculates everything up to gross pay, including expenses and allowance payments for both claim-based and contracted staff. (These figures can be exported to spreadsheets).

Can I use different prices for individual and group lessons?
Academy allows you to set up as many different charges as you like. Charges must be specified as being for individual, shared or group lessons. When you add a pupil to a lesson, you apply a charge. It's really flexible: you can have 3 pupils in a lesson, all with different charges.

What access privileges can I set up for teachers?
Each user of Academy can have their own profile, in which you define which functions they have access to, and whether their access is read-only or full.

Can I track a student’s progress via my own syllabus?
You can use your own syllabus by defining your own assessment codes. There’s also a notes field against each lesson for teachers to fill in if they want to.

How are cancellations & credits managed?
Credits are posted to ledgers where they can be allocated to invoices (either manually or by running a process). Any outstanding balances on an account will cause reminder letters to be produced according to parameters set by you.

Will Academy run on my computer?
Academy needs Windows XP (Service Pack 2) or Vista. Also, you'll need an internet connection to use Academy because it has text messaging and email facilities, and because it checks for updates online. Your computer needs to have 1GHz CPU, 512Mb RAM and a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 to be able to run Academy.
